Senegence Makeup Hack: Using Eyeshadow as Lipstick
Senegence Hack: Using Eyeshadow as Lipstick
There’s no question about it: Lipstick is the best beauty invention of all time (especially LipSense). It adds an instant pop of color to our faces, enhances our skin, brings out the color of our eyes, and completes our look.
A bold red lip takes jeans and a t-shirt up a notch, while a shimmery gloss can bring a nice top down to a more casual level.
Basically, lipstick is magic.
But, have you ever looked at your Senegence ShadowSense eyeshadow and thought, “You know, I bet this would look great as a lipstick!”
Fortunately, that’s totally doable!
It would be sad to live in a world without LipSense, but there are still a few little “rules” you can go ahead and break when it comes to makeup.
And using eyeshadow as lipstick is definitely one of those rules. There’s the added bonus of Senegence ShadowSense not budging, smearing, or smudging. Using ShadowSense eyeshadow as lipstick basically guarantees that your lips will hold that pretty color all day long, just like the Senegence LipSense colors would!
Senegence ShadowSense Eyeshadow Nourishes
The long-lasting, anti-aging, and flawless finish of ShadowSense with SenePlex Complex isn’t limited to just your eyelids! These Creme to Powder shades can be used as a soft lip color, whether you wear them separately or layered over a LipSense color to accent.
The long-lasting formula of the ShadowSense with SenePlex is set up via the SeneDerm SkinCare System and MakeSense Foundation with SenePlex. Both of these formulas are nourished with the same proprietary anti-aging formula and advanced color technology, and offer another layer of SenePlex to the delicate skin of your lips, which are prone to wrinkling and drying.
The ShadowSense, with the SenePlex Cream to Powder, are thicker than other cream shadows, and dry to a powder that leaves a vivid color.
They don’t smudge or budge, and are perfect to use as lipstick!
To pull of this magical Senegence beauty hack, just follow these simple steps:
Using Eyeshadow as Lipstick
You absolutely MUST start out with healthy lips! The ShadowSense eyeshadow dries to leave a powder that bonds to your lips - - which is why it will last for so long!
Before you put on your color, you’re going to want to give your lips a good scrub, ensuring your lips are soft and exfoliated. Take a bit of LipSense lip balm or coconut oil onto your lips (it’s best to avoid waxy products like Vaseline or other lip balms).
Tip: Keep some sugar in a little container in your bathroom. Dip a damp finger into the sugar, and scrub your lips. Rinse, and voila! Super soft lips.
Once your lips are COMPLETELY dry, including the waterline, you’re ready to apply the color.
Stir up your tube of ShadowSense a little!
Apply the color, starting at your cupid’s bow and drawing down to the corner of your lip.
Get more color on your brush as needed. Fill in the center of your lips, and then drawn down to the other corner.
Fill in the waterline of your upper lip in one pass.
You know dry erase markers will sometimes erase themselves if you go over the same spot twice? The same can happen with both ShadowSense and LipSense. So, don’t layer your color until each layer is completely dry.
Get more color on your brush, if needed. Then, draw from corner to corner on the outside of your bottom lip.
Fill in the waterline of your bottom lip.
Finish by passing over with a layer of your choice of LipSense gloss, or just let it shine on its own.
Note: If your LipSense or ShadowSense color comes off your lips, looks splotchy, or gets sticky build up, it’s not the product’s fault. (I totally thought it was, in all honesty.) In reality, it’s a user error. If you usually wear chapstick, vaseline, or other waxy lipsticks and balms, then your lips are going to go through an exfoliation process. This takes a couple of weeks!
Eyeshadow as Lipstick? Absolutely!
Well, that’s all there is to it!
The best part about using eyeshadow as lipstick is that you can really get creative with it. You can come up with colors that will have people stopping you to ask what color you’re wearing.
You’ll basically be wearing magical makeup.
How rad is that?
